Video game consoles are getting popular today because of the technology and the features when compared to that of the PC games. Initial video game console came with a cassette like circuit where you need to insert them into the consoles main box. Then games came into PC that was more fascinating than that of the ordinary video game because of its graphics and a variety of games available under different programming languages. Now, it has reached the next level like the Xbox or PlayStation, etc. The reason to this is some drawbacks in playing games in a PC in certain aspects. One of the major drawbacks is the graphics as PC requires special graphic cards to play certain games.

Microsoft's Xbox

Xbox is one such advanced gaming console available today in the market. Xbox is a product of Microsoft who themselves have developed the hardware for the console. Design

Xbox 360 hardware was developed by Microsoft Corporation with Microsoft's own program codes running on each and every component. The heat sinks are fixed firmly to the microprocessor by means of two X clamp beneath the motherboard. The storage space in this console also has been increased when compared to that of the previous version of console.

Design Failure

Since its introduction into the market many Xbox 360 users have complained about the red light error in their console. In any kind of consoles, it has some inbuilt setups to caution the users about the status of the console. Likewise, Xbox has the lights around the power ring to indicate these errors and also will display the cause of failure on the screen with some error number.

Error E74

Most of the users complain about a particular error called E74. This error results in glowing of three red lights in the power ring area. This problem is commonly known among gamers as 'THE RED RING OF DEATH' or RRoD. This error might lead to the death of the motherboard if the problem was not properly fixed. The cause for this error is the overheating of the console.

How To Fix

This can be fixed by removing the X clamps in the motherboard. The heat sinks do not provide enough air supply to the processors and the heated air is not properly removed from that area causing the processors to fail.

Repairing of console can be done in two ways. One by sending the console to Microsoft service station or by repairing by own. If you have the warranty, then the repair is done at free of cost. But, if the warranty period is over then you have to pay for the repair which will cost you more.

The simple solution for this problem is that you can repair the console by your own. There are some video tutorials in the internet using which you can fix your Xbox in just one hour. The repair work is pretty simple and I myself have done the repair work in my Xbox 360. Whoever said that video gaming is a childish pastime clearly hasn't seen the prices of videogames these days. For $50 and above per product, video gaming is no longer a right. It's a luxury that only adults - given their purchasing power - can actually enjoy.

Indeed, with the rising cost of videogame software, the hobby has become an expensive investment. Review websites are enjoying wide readerships because people want to know - for certain - whether or not a video game is worth the money they'll spend on the same.

Sadly, reviews aren't always as accurate as one would expect them to be. Videogame reviews are always subjective, always dependent on the likes, dislikes and other idiosyncrasies beholden to the reviewer. And if recent controversies are to be believed, videogame reviews are also dependent on how much advertising dough the company has spent on the review website's pages.

There are two types of beta testing: open and closed. Open beta testing allows everyone who has the means to download the game client to do so. Closed beta testing only allows a selected number of people - usually invited - to download and test the game client.

This program has many new and old board games Some are harder than others, but of the ones I have tried, they are all quite good. There are different level for different skills, so you aren't stuck on one level all the time. I have enjoyed it.

The Super Mario Bros are a part of videogame royalty since their creation by Nintendo. When the first Nintendo came out in the mid 1980s it was incredibly successful, but it actually took a while to catch on. The very first Nintendo games didnt really offer anything different than what was already on the market from gaming companies like Atari. It wasnt until they released the game Super Mario Bros that the Nintendo really exploded on the scene with their first council system, and only then did they achieve icon status concerning 1980s entertainment.

Recognizing the breakaway hit that the first Super Mario Bros game was, Nintendo wisely decided to start including the game as part of the package when you bought the system. It was a smart promotion and no doubt increased sales of their gaming system. When I first got my Nintendo Entertainment System, it came with the Super Mario Bros game and I was in video game heaven.

I was off a big fan of Atari 2600 but I was blown away by the superior sound and graphics that Nintendo offered. More than the better graphics and sounds, the sheer size and scope of the Super Mario Bros game was what really made the Nintendo shine above the others. Atari games had always lacked layered depth, but the Super Mario Bros game had it and then some.

Super Mario Bros games are still being churned out today for the modern-day Nintendo systems, like the Gamecube and the N64. There is no question that the Super Mario Bros are the flag bearers and nationally recognized symbols for Nintendo systems, and have probably done more to bring in business for the Japan based company than all of their other advertising efforts to date. Just putting the Super Mario Bros into a game just about guarantees greater sales, it's that much of an enticement. Its no surprise then that there are so many different takeoffs of Mario Bros games out there now.

One of my favorite more recent Super Mario Bros games is the Mario Kart series. The really cool thing about these games is that you can play it against other players directly. You could play the original Super Mario Brothers games with more than one player, but not simultaneously, so you were always hoping that your buddy get killed so you could play the game. The Mario Kart games are fun because you can play with several players and have some good clean fun while you go at it and the is still leave there as friends.

For the video game enthusiast who tends to gravitate toward puzzle games when browsing store shelves, Travel Games for Dummies for the Nintendo DS may be the perfect item to occupy your time. Whether you're actually traveling or just relaxing with your DS, the light challenge this little cartridge offers is the perfect combination of mental stimulation and old fashioned fun. Featuring three time tested puzzles--Sudoku, Solitaire, and Crosswords--Travel Games appeals to players of all ages, and parents need not screen this choice for sex and violence before handing it over to young gamers. The game can be picked up and mastered almost immediately in its simplicity. Three choices, each choice offering different levels of expertise, and an easily accessible help menu provide instant entertainment. It is not clear how Sudoku and Solitaire made it into the "dummies" classification, but the crossword puzzles are fairly simple, even on the most difficult level. Several of the clues repeat, and words can be deciphered by trying out different letters until the computer accepts them. If you're easily frustrated with the inability to finish a crossword, have no fear. In addition to the aforementioned cheats, bonus letters rotate around the board, so if you happen to solve a clue while it's highlighted, you can earn up to three bonus clues at a time. Later, when you're having trouble coming up with an answer, you can use a bonus to receive an extra clue. Sudoku and Solitaire require more strategy than knowledge, so the difficulty will vary with the user's skill. Personally, I'm not so hot with numbers, so even the beginner levels of Sudoku were a challenge for me. Solitaire also relies on the luck of the draw, so some games are naturally more challenging than others. The actual game operation is quite simple, however. The only complaint I really have is the keyboard for the Crossword puzzles is extremely tiny and cramped, and I often found myself aiming for one letter and actually clicking on another by accident. This is probably not an annoyance that can be remedied with the game being designed for a small DS screen. It's minor compared to the addictiveness of the game play. Most people already know if Sudoku, Solitaire, and Crosswords are games that will keep them entertained. The actual execution of the games is solid and fans will be pleased. This would be an excellent game for mature players looking to hone mental alertness with games such as Brain Age, or anyone eager to sharpen problem solving skills.

This game was worth more than what I got it for. There are so many puzzles for Sudoku. I like how you can select the number you want instead of having the game guess what you are trying to write. Once you complete a square or a certain number, the numbers will pop up letting you know that particular is correct! =) You can select what level you want too. Haven't even tried the other games yet!

Im 26 years old and I had to have my first colonoscopy done a few months back. My grandmother had and lost her battle against colon cancer. Of course this made me scared of what they may find but I found the American Cancer Society website useful to help calm down my nerves.

The only thing that you should really dread, if any, is the prep process. The prep time consists of drinking medicines that will help clean out your system. Of course you will not be able to have anything to eat or drink that is solid or has any type of flavor, unless you like broth and jell-o as long as it is not red. You will then spend pretty much all day in the bathroom. While I was prepping I came up with a few ideas to help make the prep time more productive.

Make sure you bring in a book or magazine, move your TV into your bathroom if you have space, use your laptop to play games on the internet or instant message your friends and see if they can guess what you are doing, play a hand-held videogame, if you are a female, paint your toe/ finger nails and wax/ shave your legs and one thing you need to always remember is to MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR PHONE INTO THE BATHROOM. You never know when the moment will hit when you have to go. After all, it always seems that people call you whenever you are in the bathroom. I hope this will help you with making the prep time a bit easier to deal with.

Customer Review: Pretty good overall
This was one of the games we bought to play as a family with our new Wii. It's pretty good. The interface and action isn't as slick as Wii Sports or Wii Play, but it's a different set of games and it's fun to play as a group. The basketball shooting games can be tough, but I actually enjoy that it's not "automatic" and takes some practice. The bocce is very good, an dis probably my favorite. I'd say rent it first just to make sure it's your cup of tea.

Fun games to play, we are having alot of fun with this game. The delivery time was very good too. Didn't take any time at all to get it!!

Thailand is an amazing place to live. The friendly people, delicious food and beautiful scenery are just a few reasons to live here. However, the culture is very different from what most westerners are familiar with. Below is a list to help you determine if some of the more curious Thai cultural oddities have rubbed off on you.

You see an elephant in the street and don't think "Oh wow! An elephant!" but instead complain about how it's slowing down traffic.

You wake up in the morning with a hankering for rice and noodles, not eggs and toast.

You think that riding your motorcycle the wrong way down one-way streets, running red lights and riding on the wrong side of the road are perfectly normal.

You think that Singha and Chang are actually pretty decent beers.

You see a family of four and their dog riding together on a single motorcycle and you only wonder what they ate for dinner.

You wear sweaters and sweatshirts despite the steaming hot weather.

You are deeply concerned when your favorite rice dish goes up in price by $0.15 to a staggering $0.60.

The language actually starts to make a little sense.

You have no problems eating raw pig organs mixed with pig blood and spices.

10 year olds riding motorcycles in the streets do not faze you.

You think Sangsom and Mekong are actually pretty decent whiskeys.

You haven't cooked a meal in months, besides what can be made with a hot water maker.

You find that some of the Thai music is actually pretty decent.

Customer Review: A great introduction to fantasy role-playing
/This review contains no plot-spoilers/. I'm writing this little review for those who have heard little or nothing about the game, perhaps even a parent of a potential player. Some things you quickly need to know... This is a final and best version of one of the best single-player fantasy games ever made for the PC. (1) It's set in a very beautiful and strange game-world, yet the graphics are five years old... but there are plenty of 'mods' (free fan-made plugins) out there that can make the game look and play far better. The game's fans have spent the last five years fixing and improving the game. Yet to research, choose and apply those 'mods' takes a few hours, and some skill with using a PC. It's a project in itself, but it's worth it. (2) You may not like the game initially, because role-playing is not to everyone's taste and can be a skill that takes some nurturing. The game is so huge you can play the first bits of the main quest for 15 hours - and still just be scratching the surface of a tiny bit of the massive free-form game-world. This is no "run and gun, down narrow tracks" game you can finish off in 10 hours. At 150 hours, you'll be qualified to make a judgement on it. (3) You have to use your imagination at many points, but you get plenty of stimulus to do so. You also need to 'suspend your disbelief' over some of the clunky animations, in places. This is a world that's strange, almost perfectly realised in terms of plot and atmosphere, and will make you think. One of the main themes is slavery and colonisation. Disease is also prominent. But it will also make you laugh - it's far more quirky than its rather dumbed-down successor Oblivion. I feel it's quite suitable for an intelligent and thoughtful 12 year old. (4) The game 'adapts' itself to your play style due to the choices you make at the start. You can play equally well as a 'Conan'-type fighter, a 'Wizard'-like magician, or a stealthy sneaker. (5) There's a lot of reading involved in the game, both dialogue and in books and scrolls. And a lot of strange names. This is not a game for non-readers. (6) Yes, the game will run fine on Windows Vista (fully-patched, SP2), just make sure you update to the latest Nvidia graphics-card drivers. The game has problems with ATI graphics cards. Yes, you can even run it in widescreen - as high as 1920 x 1200 pixels, using the free MGE plugin.

Nintendo Wii still sells like warm bread from the oven and it'll still be fun in 2009. Why is it still so difficult to find in some places?

That is just it - some places - it's not quite as difficult anymore to buy the Wii as it once was. In the UK for example, the store Argos have the console in stock just about 100% of the time now, but of course it's not like that everywhere.

Wii's main competitor, the Sony PS3, is still getting slaughtered in terms of sales. Wii Mario Kart and Wii Fit both sold incredibly well on release and continue to do so, with the Wii Fit selling out the whole of the stock sent to the US by Nintendo in the very first few days. Wii supplies in the UK are particularly short at Christmas due to the rush of parents who promised their kids one only to discover that they can't find one anywhere. Buy it summertime instead.

This console sells so well possibly because the Wii Sports in particular is a good way to lose weight and remains just as much fun now as it did when it was first released, if not more. There is another factor which makes this console unique and attractive for non-gamers - getting fit. Wii Fit's Balance Board works kind of like two scales fused together, which, as its designers found, makes it instantly more fun than just one. And boy, can you work out on it.

The audience is expanding even more as Wii sales are nearly double that of the PS3's. My guess is that Nintendo did not anticipate how quickly their latest console would be adopted by people outside of it's normal market. I think it is selling so well not just because of the "hard to get" principal, but also because it has opened up a much larger market for video games. We're witnessing a substantial change in the videogame marketplace with the Wii, one that even Nintendo couldn't predict and it remains a unique system that appeals to many non traditional gamers.

Maybe a Wii2 is on the way. Who knows eh?
