Customer Review: 5 stars must read
okayb first off i just got this today so far its half good and half bad it plays my ps2 games pretty fine a little noise on some but not enough to effect the way it plays for use of ps2 games in the ps2 slim when ps2 slim is modded 5 stars i don't know if it plays in the slim when the slim ps2 is not modded, i tryed to play dvds in my modded ps2 slim with d-skin's on and it won't read the disk and i put it in a new dvd player it would not work so for use of protecting your dvds on a mac dvd player ps2 or laptop 1 star. for use of protecting ps2 games 5 stars... one of the reasons i rated this 5 stars i because its the thing that protects it while it plays
Customer Review: good item to have
I have two small kids so I need to protect our DVDs. These worked fine in most of our players. Maybe had a problem with one, but it was not big deal. Definitely good to have if you have kids.

With the long awaited release of the Playstation 3, its sure to have gamers all around scrambling to purchase this new system. There are two different consoles and prices of the PlayStation 3: the 20GB version and the 60GB version. Each console will have something different to offer and different price tags as well.

The first version of the Playstation 3 is the 20GB version and will retail at $499.99. The next Playstation 3 is the 60GB version and will retail at $599.99.

The new console design has a more sleek and simple design and weighs less than the other console systems. The first version of the model is only going to be offered in black, but some indications state in the future other colors like; white and silver will be available.

On thing that didnt change in the new video system is the ability to sit horizontally or vertically. With an AV rack it can be placed in both positions, otherwise a horizontal position would be preferred to the fact of its curved console shape.

The traditional controllers have maintained the same image and functions through out the years. This is a warm welcome for the experienced playstation gamers. The one thing that has changed on the controller for the better is the enlargement of the L2 and R2 should buttons. An enlarged titling angle of the joystick will ensure better manipulation and wider range of motion. The force feedback vibration has been done away with, fearing the vibration might interfere with certain games that use the motion sensor.

The controller will be wireless comparable to the XBOX 360 controller. The wireless controller will operate with a Bluetooth 2.0 EDR that can transmit data at the rate of up to 3.0Mbps.

The Playstation Portable will be able to connect to the new console. The PSP can function as a remote control or as an extra controller for the Playstation 3.

The games will use a hard drive to save game and load times will be around two to three seconds.

The 60GB Playstation 3 system will offer a number of features such as four USB ports, compact flash and CD readers, Blu-ray optical disc drive, and memory stick.

The 20GB Playstation 3 will not have some of these features, which is why it costs nearly a hundred dollars less. You will have to decide for yourself which system is right for your needs.

New to Playstation is the Blu-ray disc drive. This disc can hold up to 54GB and can play games and movie discs. With the Blu-ray disc drive you can play high definition DVDs without having to purchase a separate Blu-ray DVD player.

Advergaming, considered to be one of the newest marketing and advertising strategies, is rapidly becoming the darling of the advertising industry. Though the term "advergames" wasn't coined until 2001 in a Wired magazine's "Jargon Watch" column, advergaming as a marketing tool is actually older than most people realize.

The first real advergame was a customized videogame incorporating brand messages and was distributed on floppy disk by American Home Foods to promote the Chef Boyardee brand during the 80's. Advergames are used to promote products or services, organizations, and even opinions and viewpoints. Today, with the advent of the internet, and smaller, faster processing chips used in computers, cellular phones, PDAs, and interactive television programming, advergaming has grown into a formidable industry.

Advergaming is generally categorized in three different ways. In the first category, companies provide interactive games on their websites, hoping visitors to the site become engaged in the game, thus spending more time on the website and becoming more familiar with a brand or product. The second category is generally recognized as games that are created by groups or organizations for commercial, political or educational purposes, and then published and sold as any other game. For example, the United States Army sponsored a game called "America's Army" in an effort to increase recruitment. The third category includes games that promote products, brands, or services within the game itself. For example, an interactive baseball game might have banners around the field that promote Coca-Cola, or a football team might be the "Tide Titans." The advertising is similar to a character in a movie holding a can of Red Bull, or stopping for coffee at a Dunkin' Donuts.

Advergames aren't just for kids, either. In a 2004 study performed by Comscore MediaMetrix, 25% of the gamers on PCs are 35-44 years of age, 25% of gamers playing free online games are 25-34 years old, and 33% of those who play premium games are 25-34 years old. Additionally, income varies among the age groups.

Unlike television commercials, advertising and marketing within advergames is not perceived as an intrusion by the players. Gamers are voluntarily interactive, and the promotional materials contained within the advergames are viewed as simply part of the game; this makes the gamers a part of the marketing action rather than sideline observers. Repeat visits to websites via the internet or cell phones are high among advergamers, and as a result, product or brand recognition and loyalty is also high among the interactive players. And advergamers regularly spread the word about games they particularly like to friends and family. Additionally, because players can access advergames during work hours over the internet, a greater segment of the population can be reached in a time previously considered untouchable by advertisers.

Ear Force X3 Headset: Chat + Wireless Game Audio, for Xbox 360

PC gamers rely on headphones to eliminate distracting noise around them, so they can concentrate on their game play and hear every nuance of the game audio. Stereo headphones with an integrated PC microphone are incompatible with the Xbox 360, so gamers are forced to choose between using standard headphones and talking online. Conventional Xbox communicator headsets cover one ear for chat, leaving only a single ear for hearing game audio from the speakers. The Ear Force X3 overcome this problem by pumping game audio AND online chat through high-fidelity headphones to deliver the privacy, clarity, and competitive edge of PC headphones on the Xbox 360 platform. They're also designed to enhance the Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming experience by enabling the user to independently control volume of amplified chat and game audio - a first for wireless headphones. Designed for premium sound, the X3s feature 40mm drivers in each ear cup and are powered by low distortion DC-coupled amplifiers for deep, rich bass sound. Engineered for long-gaming sessions, the headphones incorporate a soft, cushioned, adjustable headband, deep ear pads and tilting ear cups to fit the contours of the gamer's head. No matter if your priority is physical comfort, headset options or audio clarity, the Ear Force X3 wireless Xbox headphones will hold up to the test. Headset usable with other gaming systems (mic for Xbox 360 only)
Customer Review: BE VERY CAUSIOS
When I frist got these head phones they where great. I got them for Christmas 2008 and they worked well...until February 2009. The mike according to my friends on live "sounded like I was mumbling every word" and when I switch back to my 15 dollar mike they could hear me better. Maybe it is just mine, maybe I broke it but this is a Major Issue for a set of 100 dollar headphones. I recommend them but if you buy them, keep your old mike.
Customer Review: Best. Headset. EVER!
Well... Let me start off with saying that I have been gaming my whole life, I have owned everything from PS2's to Xbox originals, to the latest Xbox 360. When the Xbox 360 launched it was created to be the leader in console gaming both for hardcore and casual gamers. I am a Hardcore gamer, I game A LOT! I know my way around when it comes to consoles, and I know my hardware and Accessories... So, I purchased this headset a couple months back, and from the date I purchased this I have not put it down! The Sound quality is amazing! and I really have not noticed a SINGLE problem with it! I will list some pros that I haven't seen posted on here thus far: Pros: - The Headsets Sound quality is amazing, I play a lot of shooter games (CoD4, Halo , BF-BC etc) and I have never been able to hear what I hear when I am wearing this Unit! The Things you hear are - rain, Footsteps, long distance firing, and much more - with the recent Music games that have started to dominate the video game market (rockband / Guitar Hero) I play in my living room and my family gets very annoyed to hear the "annoying" songs that I play in those games broadcast through the house and these headphones have completely eliminated that FOREVER!!!! - WIRELESS - I have used several Wireless headsets that cause "Fuzz" and "Distortion" but I have NO problem with these at all! :) - You can change anything, if the volume of the game is to loud you can turn it down, or if you need more chat volume you can turn that up, it is a very easy method right on the headphones themselves! - Overall I find NO real problem with these headsets... I love them to death, I tried to go back to a garbage MS mic after I got the Turtle Beach X3 just to see how different it was... and I could not stand it! These Headsets are by far the best I have ever used! and I have used a lot!!! Cons: - The only con that I find in this item is that they don't come with rechargeable batteries... (they come with batteries but not rechargeable ones) so I went to best but, and bought a 4pack of rechargeable batteries ($5.00) and everything from there on out has been perfect!!! Overall I would rate this Item with a 10/10! I have used it for awhile now, and have had no problems, and the quality is incredible! I always go by the saying "you get what you pay for" well that is the case here, I had 3 Microsoft Mics break on me last year alone, that's $60.00 a year, at that rate... so I invested in this and have had no problems for about 7-8months!!! I would suggest this item to anyone looking to get a good quality, superbly designed headset, and get the best bang for your buck!

When the October 4th 2005 X 05 events were going on in Amsterdam all in the gaming industry realized that the Microsoft will announce for the release of its Xbox 360 games in North America and Europe.
But to everyones surprise Microsoft didnt did so and that led to the confusion in the minds of many people.

However, the corporate vice president of Xbox marketing and publishing, Peter Moore told the masses that there are two hundred Xbox 360 games in development phase that are one of the best games ever designed. He also stated that they would organize the best launch lineup of Xbox 360 that has not been done ever in this industry. Peter Moore refused to declare the list of all the games that would be available for sale in November 22 during the launch of the Xbox 360. This launch is to be held in the United States.

As if this was not enough, one more press release by Microsoft titled Xbox 360 launch line-up announced has added to more confusion. Three first party games are listed in the press release under the heading of an impressive Christmas holiday portfolio. The games that are listed are Kameio Elements of Power, Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3. The next catalogue of games under heading of the other great games announced or shown at X05 consists of games like Too Human, Crackdown, FIFA 06, Saints Row and many more. In the third category the games were included under the heading of the franchise titles that will make their debut on Xbox 360 that consists of games like Tom Clancys Splinter Cell 4, Superman Returns: The Videogame, Call of Duty 2 and many more such games.

The main confusion is that most of these games have 2006 release dates. Moreover some of the games that are announced would be impossible to be added into the Xbox 360 launch lineup that is opposite to the title indicated in press release.

To add to the confusion, when director of platform marketing for the Xbox 360, David Reid was asked about the available games during the launch then he stated that only fifteen to twenty Xbox 360 titles will be launched in November and the next halfdozen would be available next year. According to David Reid, only eight games would be available in November, namely, Need for Speed Most Wanted, FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup, Project Gotham Racing 3, Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, Madden NFL 06, NBA Live 06 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06. Remaining seven games that would be available in November will be announced by him in the next few weeks. He stated that those games are in the final stages of certification referring to the quality assurance process all games have to go through before they are available in the market. He also confirmed that if any game is unable to pass the certification then that game may not be available for sale in November Xbox 360 launch.

The main problem is that the decision to rush games is for the reason that the company wants to take the advantage of the holiday sales season. The other reason is that the gamer in todays world can analyze whether the game was rushed that may result in the destruction of the reputation of the game. Now there are only tow conditions, either the Xbox 360 games would be a great success or a big failure. All this is due to the excessive pre release publicity of Xbox 360.

Although the three games that Microsoft assures would be available on the release dates but when it comes to the remaining twelve titles all confusion prevails. It is thought that even if the Xbox 360 is spared the proposed PS3 would be under the same trap of questions.

The best way to know about the release of Xbox 360 is to wait and watch. Here we are in a state of confusion whereas on the other hand the Microsoft is fueling the market for the sale of its Xbox 360 games.

The Super Mario Bros are a part of videogame royalty since their creation by Nintendo. When the first Nintendo came out in the mid 1980s it was incredibly successful, but it actually took a while to catch on. The very first Nintendo games didnt really offer anything different than what was already on the market from gaming companies like Atari. It wasnt until they released the game Super Mario Bros that the Nintendo really exploded on the scene with their first council system, and only then did they achieve icon status concerning 1980s entertainment.

Recognizing the breakaway hit that the first Super Mario Bros game was, Nintendo wisely decided to start including the game as part of the package when you bought the system. It was a smart promotion and no doubt increased sales of their gaming system. When I first got my Nintendo Entertainment System, it came with the Super Mario Bros game and I was in video game heaven.

I was off a big fan of Atari 2600 but I was blown away by the superior sound and graphics that Nintendo offered. More than the better graphics and sounds, the sheer size and scope of the Super Mario Bros game was what really made the Nintendo shine above the others. Atari games had always lacked layered depth, but the Super Mario Bros game had it and then some.

Super Mario Bros games are still being churned out today for the modern-day Nintendo systems, like the Gamecube and the N64. There is no question that the Super Mario Bros are the flag bearers and nationally recognized symbols for Nintendo systems, and have probably done more to bring in business for the Japan based company than all of their other advertising efforts to date. Just putting the Super Mario Bros into a game just about guarantees greater sales, it's that much of an enticement. Its no surprise then that there are so many different takeoffs of Mario Bros games out there now.

One of my favorite more recent Super Mario Bros games is the Mario Kart series. The really cool thing about these games is that you can play it against other players directly. You could play the original Super Mario Brothers games with more than one player, but not simultaneously, so you were always hoping that your buddy get killed so you could play the game. The Mario Kart games are fun because you can play with several players and have some good clean fun while you go at it and the is still leave there as friends.

The World's Best: Mahjongg Games jc

Customer Review: bdelano
I really like the first and third set of games on this disc. I was unable to use the second set of games because my computer shut down automatically in order to not cause harm to my computer when I opened it. I have a Windows Vista operating system; maybe this has something to do with the problem. I have sent an email to customer service at Greenstreet Games Co. to try to resolve this problem. Otherwise, I really like everything.

Nintendo Wii still sells like warm bread from the oven and it'll still be fun in 2009. Why is it still so difficult to find in some places?

That is just it - some places - it's not quite as difficult anymore to buy the Wii as it once was. In the UK for example, the store Argos have the console in stock just about 100% of the time now, but of course it's not like that everywhere.

Wii's main competitor, the Sony PS3, is still getting slaughtered in terms of sales. Wii Mario Kart and Wii Fit both sold incredibly well on release and continue to do so, with the Wii Fit selling out the whole of the stock sent to the US by Nintendo in the very first few days. Wii supplies in the UK are particularly short at Christmas due to the rush of parents who promised their kids one only to discover that they can't find one anywhere. Buy it summertime instead.

This console sells so well possibly because the Wii Sports in particular is a good way to lose weight and remains just as much fun now as it did when it was first released, if not more. There is another factor which makes this console unique and attractive for non-gamers - getting fit. Wii Fit's Balance Board works kind of like two scales fused together, which, as its designers found, makes it instantly more fun than just one. And boy, can you work out on it.

The audience is expanding even more as Wii sales are nearly double that of the PS3's. My guess is that Nintendo did not anticipate how quickly their latest console would be adopted by people outside of it's normal market. I think it is selling so well not just because of the "hard to get" principal, but also because it has opened up a much larger market for video games. We're witnessing a substantial change in the videogame marketplace with the Wii, one that even Nintendo couldn't predict and it remains a unique system that appeals to many non traditional gamers.

Maybe a Wii2 is on the way. Who knows eh?

John Milligan.

So your looking for a Xbox 360 freezing problem fix are you? Well in this article I'm going to go over some possible things you can do to prevent your 360 from freezing up on your anymore. There are a lot of things that can cause this kind of error but they all pretty much stem from the same problem.

Ok so the obvious route would be to send your 360 back to Microsoft and get them to fix it right? This is all fine and great if your Xbox 360 is new and they will still repair it for you. However it usually takes weeks to many months to even get back your 360. Not only that but if your not under warranty then its going to cost a lot of money.

So how do I fix my Xbox 360 freezing problem for a cheap rate? Well theres this trick that has been going around lately about wrapping your console up in a blanket or towel. This is suppose to cool it off or something but the bad thing here is it breaks a lot of consoles. Yes it does solve the problem sometimes for like 3-7 days but you are left with a broken console after that.

Your problem could be some simple drive error which could be repaired at perhaps an electronics repair shop. But that's only if you find someone who knows what they are doing. There are other methods to fixing your 360 and if you need more help check out my bio box below. Good luck on your quest to find a 360 freezing problem fix!
